In January 2009 GeoViz invested heavily in purchasing a new state-of-the-art Hewlett Packard blade cluster renderfarm housed in our onsite dedicated climate controlled render room. This system has the same configuration setup as the 13th most powerful supercomputer in the world, the Computational Research Laboratories supercomputer (top500.org) providing GeoViz with over 50 times the computing rendering power of just 12 months ago.
The blade server consists of 64 quad-core processors (256 cores) running at 2.66ghz for an Rpeak of 2,731Ghz processing power. This is operated under full 64-bit OS with in excess 1 terabyte of memory and over 50TB of storage. Capable of rendering the largest and most demanding of jobs without any loss in production time due to breakdowns.
All data processing and animation creation is preformed on top of the range Dell Precision T7400 workstations with at least 32GB of memory to handle the largest and most demanding datasets with ease and speed. We also uses the latest fully licensed industry leading geological, GIS, CAD, image processing, animation, composting and authoring software.
GeoViz also have an extensive GIS database consisting of cloud free 15m global LandSAT coverage, vector demographic linework plus fully processed digital topography for the whole planet. Over the years GeoViz has also custom built and purchased an extensive model library to speed up production time and reduce costs for new and existing jobs.
We are also proud to announce a close relationship with Perth's only fully digital HD video production company Digital Imagineers who offer additional post animation video editing and video capture.
